Mariusz Pudzianowski MMA Overview:
Round 1
The height advantage was clearly working for Sylvia as he rained down pucpunches on Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski showed some good strength, as you would expect, but his actual take downs weren’t great. Mariusz Pudzianowski’s defence in the clinch was pretty poor too as he failed to stop most of the knees Tim Sylvia delivered. With that said we got to see the Pudzian can take a punch/knee or two to the chin. When the fight went to the ground Pudzian looked a bit static for me but his guard was ok and he went for a armbar but I would say he was lucky the time ran down.
Round 2
Both Pudzianowski and Sylvia looked gassed already but Pudzianowski looked worse off. The fight meandered for a little bit and Pudzianowski got taken to the floor and then some of the worst fighting i’ve seen occured when side control was gained by basically just falling on Pudzianowski. Sylvia then manouvered through North South cnotrol to finish the fight via submission to punches and I’m sure you’ve all seen what the Iceman Chuck Liddel thinks about that!
Conclusion from Mariusz Pudzianowski MMA:
Well the stamina was an issue again and the difference in fighting ability, that killer instinct was definately highlighted, but with that said Pudzianowski tooks some good punches and some knees from a former two time UFC champion. He needs to go away and work on his ground game, his guard (both on his feet and on the ground), work on his striking…….erm pretty much everything. This fight may have been a few steps up the ladder too soon and it looked like Pudzianowski knew it! Next fight is in September we believe, more on that later.

Marius is not have enouth experience.But if he was more modest he will win. You can be more strong then Marius but if you dont hide what you do,you will lose.
Marius needs to lose most of that massive bulk in order to increase his cardio. Without doing this he has virtually no chance of winning because he will be always subsceptible to running out of energy, its simply not an advantage in MMA.
couldn’t agree more ian, hopefully this is one of the major aspects he’ll be training. I’ve still not heard if he has gone to the US yet though.
